Roy Koppenhofer has served as Chief Operating Officer of two leading Independent Selling Organizations in the chemical industry: SOCO Chemical, Inc. (now Brenntag, Inc.) in Reading, PA and Chemtech Industries in Saint Louis, MO. He also founded and led Berkshire Consulting Services, a corporate outplacement and career consulting firm based in Wyomissing, PA, with an office in Pottsville, PA. After selling Berkshire Consulting Services to Right Management Consultants in 1996, Roy served as managing partner for Right Management's offices in Wyomissing and Allentown, PA, before founding Pennswood Partners in 2000. In November 2006, the shareholders of TruTek Inc elected Roy to their board of directors. TruTek (online at www.TruTekInc.com) is a manufacturer of medical devices incorporating infrared technology. The company is poised to introduce the TruTek Infrared Tympanic Thermometer to the healthcare market. Roy is a graduate of Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Chemistry (with distinction). He has also participated in the Advanced Management Program offered by MIT Sloan School of Management. His civic involvements have included: the American Red Cross Berks County Chapter (past chairman); Opportunity House, which was formerly the Reading-Berks Emergency Shelter (past chairman); and Reading Urban Ministry (past chairman).
Ed Watters, D.Ed., has served as president of Montgomery County (PA) Community College, chief academic officer of Williamsport (PA) Area Community College, and a faculty member at Wilkes College and Bucks County Community College. Ed has delivered diverse corporate training and consulting programs for organizations in more than 15 states and five foreign countries. In addition, he has provided extensive career consulting and professional outplacement services for the past 15 years. Dr. Watters is actively involved as a director or trustee on several corporate, educational, and not-for-profit boards, including the Lehigh University Alumni Association. Dr. Watters is a graduate of Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania with a B.A., Psychology; M.A., Guidance and Counseling; and D.Ed., Leadership and Foundation. He was a Fulbright Scholar to China. James T. Egan Jim Egan is "well-networked" throughout the East Coast in general and the Delaware Valley in particular. Jim’s corporate experience includes General Manager of Container Corporation of America, Division President of The West Company (medical devices) and a member of the Senior Management Team of Betz Laboratories where he managed M&A technology transfer and international operations. In 1991, Jim Egan acquired Colonial Chemical Co., a small private specialty chemical business in Tabernacle, New Jersey. Under his innovative leadership Colonial grew tenfold through introduction of new products and custom services. He sold his share in the business to his partner in 2006. Jim is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Ashworth, Inc. (Fall River, Mass.) and TruTek, Inc. (Chadds Ford, Pa.). He also has had venture capital experience with Safeguard Scientific, Univ. of Pennsylvania/Drexel Incubator and Crystal Ridge Partners in Princeton, New Jersey. Jim Egan contributes valuable networking exposure to Pennswood’s candidates seeking to start a business, buy a business or join an existing corporation in the region. He is a graduate of Brown University and The Wharton School, and currently resides in Great Valley, Pennsylvania. John B. Millard John Millard is one of the pioneers in the outplacement/career transition management industry. Following a very successful career in business and HR management with Sun Oil Co., Amchem, Union Carbide and Henkel, John formed Millard Consulting Services, Inc. (MCS) in 1985 in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. He subsequently opened MCS offices in Philadelphia, Allentown and Scranton offering outplacement services to corporations and career transition services to individuals. John sold his company to Manchester Partners in 1998 and continued with Manchester until 2000 as Senior Vice President with responsibility for Manchester’s senior executive transition program. John is a graduate of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia with a BA in Political Science and Philosophy. He has served on numerous outside Boards, including the LaSalle University Business School Board and the Advisory Board for Melitta. A current resident of Bucks County, John does volunteer work for the Audubon Society as well as Doylestown, Abington and Einstein Hospitals. John Millard offers valuable experience to Pennswood’s candidates as to how to strategically plan and execute a career/job transition.
